Unwanted hair is an all-too-familiar problem affecting both men and women. It causes embarrassment and can knock a person's confidence and self-esteem.

However, there is a safe and effective solution in IPL, which is advanced and sophisticated beauty technology.

Why choose IPL?

  • it is non-invasive

very little or no downtime, meaning that it can fit around your busy schedule

  • Long-lasting results

  • Cost-effective

  • An excellent alternative to shaving and waxing

  • Has radio frequency built into the device so the skin will become much smoother and softer -forever!!

IPL stands for Intense Pulse Light and was first discovered by the medical profession in 1997 - using IPL to treat the same technology for skin concerns such as skin pigmentation and acne, to name but a few -all of which IPL can do today in the salon.

Today, IPL technology is available in specialist clinics, quickly replacing shaving and waxing as the first hair removal system of choice.

The main reason for this:

Specialist engineers have developed IPL and have seen significant advances in the technology itself, providing advanced, user-friendly technology for those looking for affordable, convenient, long-lasting  hair removal

So, How Does IPL work ?

IPL is a form of light therapy - whilst lasers emit a single light force treating one hair at a time, IPL emits several light sources ( called broad spectrum ). These wavelengths scatter within the skin, targeting the melanin pigment in hair follicles. The light heats the root of the hair follicle ( the bulb) and the shaft, safely damaging the follicle and its growth cycle. The follicle stops growing and eventually will shed naturally. As treatments are repeated over time, the hair grows back less and much finer in texture - eventually none.

Because it can treat large areas of hair at a time, each treatment is faster and less painful than laser treatment.

It is important to note that you will be delighted with the results -IPL and Laser are 'up to' 90% effective, and you will need 1-2 top-up sessions a year to maximise the course's effects.

Who is IPL for?

IPL and Laser hair removal are most effective on light skin and dark hair, as with very dark skin, the technology cannot distinguish between the melanin in the skin (reached first) and the melanin in the hair.
