Growth waxing can last up to four weeks, depending on the area being treated and the individual hair type.

Ingrown hairs occur when a new hair can't break through the skin's surface and curls back into the pore, resulting in a raised and often painful spot.

How long does the hair have to be waxed?
In the area that you would like waxed, the hair needs to be approximately 1/4 inch long, as the wax needs to adhere to the hair. Generally, it takes 2-3 weeks of not shaving for the hair to grow to this length.
Does waxing hurt?
Everyone’s pain tolerance is different.
However, waxing is quick and shouldn’t be painful. It may be uncomfortable, but this subsides quickly. At Aspen, we apply soothing aloe vera gel and oil.
It also depends on the area to be waxed -underarms for instance are less uncomfortable than the bikini.
What are the least painful areas to be waxed?

However, the longer you have been waxing, the greater your tolerance.
Can I take painkillers before treatment?
Some clients say taking Ibuprofen ( if you can ) an hour before waxing helps.
Regular waxing and not allowing the hair to become too long also helps.
Do I need to trim my hair before my appointment?
No, if the hair is too long for bikini wax, the Aspen Beauty Therapist will trim it.
How long does waxing last?
Everyone’s hair growth is different, but you can expect to feel hair growth after 1-2 weeks at the start of your waxing journey, however, with regular waxing, you will experience 2 weeks or more hair free. Most people are ready for waxing

Aftercare
For 24 hours following waxing it is advised to avoid:
